Category 3 Water Loss

This bathroom in Upstate, South Carolina was affected by a sewage loss from a backup caused by an obstruction near their septic tank. The customer already had the issue fixed before they called us at SERVPRO of Anderson, worried about potential mold growth. They were pleased with how quickly our crew were able to be on the scene to provide a scope and begin services. With the water backing out of the sewage line, this makes the water black water and considered a category 3. Due to the nature of the water, our production crew treat the affected materials as a biohazard and take extra precautions to protect themselves and the customers. This could include extra personal protective equipment and things like containment barriers.
