Water Loss in Hartwell, GA

This homeowner's kitchen in Hartwell, GA suffered water damage during the Thanksgiving holiday when their refrigerator water line began leaking. The customer informed our office staff that all standing water was cleaned immediately, however a month later they began to notice cupping in their floors. The damage stretched from the kitchen into their living room, and seemed to be a bigger issue than originally believed. Due to the loss date, our production team informed the customer that it would be considered a category 3 loss, which means removal is often necessary. Notice in the photos above, that a good deal of material needed removal. However, the customer was pleased with how much material we were able to properly mitigation with drying equipment. Per the customer's request, our crew set plastic over all exposed subfloor and reset the refrigerator and oven until reconstruction could begin.
